Finding your way in life isn’t easy. And, if, like me, you're prone to procrastination, difficulties compound because time and tide wait for no one.

It feels like it was only a few weeks ago that I was sixteen, sailing across the North Sea as a deckhand on my first coaster. Now seventy looms, too close for comfort. Time has spun me around the block more than once, with ups and downs, and wins and losses, and every kind of emotion.

And yet… my curiosity, optimism and seeking disposition has not waned.

I’m not done yet.

My alter ego, Crack-On Ken, refuses to fade into retirement; refuses to allow decades of experience to sink beneath the waves without so much as a buoy to mark its passing.

There are two simple rules in life:

1)     Decide what you want.

2)    Be prepared to pay the price to get what you want.

Simple? Yes.
Easy? No.

Most people never reach rule one because they’re too busy busting a gut for others. And if they do get that far, fear, procrastination and excuse-itis prevent them from paying the price.

You don’t exist just to make other people rich. You are better than that.
